Tango Changes; Samsung Partnership

tangoThere has been an extremely exciting update for all Tango users out there. Tango cofounder Eric Setton announced on November 1st, 2011 that Tango now has a partnership with Samsung. For those of you who haven’t heard yet, Samsung has surpassed Apple as the #1 Smart Phone maker in the world and Tango is the most popular video calling app for smart phones that works across all platforms like iphone, iPad, android, windows mobile etc. After this partnership, tango app will come bundled in new Samsung smart phones.

This is pretty big news from a company who literally has a marketing budget of zero dollars. There are many companies out there who would love to be in the position of Tango. Another really exciting bit of news is all the new features on the way from Tango that are yet to be unveiled. All that has been mentioned so far is that they will not be free. This is going to be the first time Tango has charged for various features.

For a company with 25 million downloads, and 100,000 more every single day; it’s hard to believe that they have done all of this without prior marketing. I guess the fact that it takes two to Tango has a lot to do with it.
